I love this insight. Do you know the story?

Zaccheaus heard that Jesus was passing through his town. The crowds were massive. He was short. So, he climbed a tree. Lo and behold, Jesus stops right in front of that tree! He looks up at little Zac and says to come down and eat with Him.

In that dinner conversation, Zac becomes a changed man. God changes his heart, his life, his direction and it’s astounding. A tiny story with magnanimous delights.

Our stories too.

See, I have long believed God to be my Jehovah Nissi…God, my Banner, who goes before me, who sets my steps and guides the direction of my life.

God made Zaccheaus the man that he was in earthly form, which He does all of us. Zac, from all references appeared to have been born short. Or vertically challenged. Smile.

But you don’t have to be born without the advantage of height to miss seeing Jesus. And…if you want to see Jesus, He will meet your need so that it’s possible to meet you…where you are!

It’s good for me to remember God knows what He made me.

He knows my needs.

He’s already going before me and setting up what is most needed for me.

Sometimes, it might be simple, like today, when He cancelled my jury duty, knowing I needed today for a resting day. But I don’t know what other appointment He has set for today either.

God knew that day was going to be a day of life transformation for Zac. He knew Zac’s heart was hurting from a deep lack of integrity.

He knew He would be changing Zac’s heart and that Zac needed to be able to see Him.

Jesus is passing by today.

Look around in your world.

See where’s He’s walking among you.

Watch for Him to look at you and invite Himself to love you, bless you and send you out changed.

He will know your need and He will meet that need before you ask.

He will know your heart and make the way clear for you to see His heart.

Be prepared.

Jesus is passing by.

He’ll love some time with you.
